Dirty Work

Psalm 104:14
"He makes grass grow for the cattle, and plants for people to cultivate— bringing forth food from the earth:"

Bethany and Joseph "planted" a garden in May with my parents. After a rough start, (it was partly replanted because of the weather, which Bethany and Joseph aren't aware of!) the vegetables are growing rapidly! Tomatoes, beans, peppers, zuchinni, squash... Bethany and Joseph are amazed and proud that we can eat the veggies they planted.
Joseph refers to it as "My garden". Tonight he informed me that his garden has "Quoo-cumbers" and pointed to a bucket of zucchini. I corrected him and he said, "Yeah, my chini!"
We are so glad Bethany, Joseph and Jenna have patient grandparents who love to teach our kids. And we get to eat the veggies, while they do all the work! Well, most of the work, Bethany and Joseph worked hard too. They were busy filling the seed planter with dirt and trampling over the tomatoe plants. Like I said, Mamma and Papaw are very patient!

We had so much fun this year planting the garden! Bethy and Joseph are quite the gardeners. Our beans just keep producing! We planted 3 rows and I expected to pick them twice and as of today we have picked them 4 times and I have canned 192 qts! If you help us next yr. we may have to grow a smaller garden! Thanks for your help! You both bring so much joy into our lives. Planting a garden this yr. was so much FUN! Love Mamma and Papaw
