Psalm 111:7The works of his hands are faithful and just; all his precepts are trustworthy.
My first experince with the kids and fingerpainting was about a year and half ago. Bethany was a little over 2. I was cleaning out her closet that day, thinking she was downstairs watching her favorite movie, Boz. I heard her frantic little voice coming up the stairs crying, "Mommmmy!" I opened the door to see her holding up two very green hands and she said, "I neeed you!" She was covered in paint, on her clothes and even in her hair! I grabbed her up and sat her in the bathtub. I was panicking about what I would find downstrairs. As I turned the corner to go down the steps I saw little green footprints on every step and handprints along the wall!! I followed the trail in the living room where she had opened the container on the couch. I was busy trying to wipe it up when I saw 15 month old Joseph in his exersaucer. He was quietly watching me...with paint all around his mouth and on the exersaucer. Bethany had decieded to share the joy with him! He was quickly stripped down and put into the green water next to Bethany! I hate to admit this but my children have not fingerpainted at our house since then!
I always have a hard time making time to do fun messy projects with them. I decieded that they are almost 4 and 3, it's time to let them be creative! So we went out on the deck and I let them paint this morning. The weather was so nice, it felt like fall!
