Mommy DOESN'T always know best!

Proverbs 24:3-4
"By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures."
A couple weekends ago, I went yard saling and bought Bethany a solid wood nightstand for $5. I was so excited and Bethany couldn't wait for me to paint it pink. Bubble gum pink!! I have to admit, I was a little worried. I had planned on painting it pink but not THAT pink. I thought about it and realized that this was one thing I could do to let her feel like she was able to make a choice for her room. More times than not, I do what I think looks best, instead of allowing her to make something hers. And it turned out great!! Bethany is really happy with it. She immediately found little miss-matched things to put in her drawer!! It's her own little spot, for her own little treasures! It was so fun to see her truly happy with her new nightstand because she felt like she picked out the color.

Bethany, I love your room! You did a beautiful job on the color of the night stand. You seem to have inherited your mother's decorating skills. Looking forward to your coming over when you are a little older and rearranging my rooms like your Mommy used to do. Love you!
