Something for myself

Me and my Hooter Hider (the best baby gift I ever received!)

I was asked to speak at a breast feeding forum held at my local hospital. All 3 of our kids were born there and the lactation nurse remembered me. She asked me to share my experiences with breastfeeding to new parents. When she first asked me, my initial response was, "No way!" But the more I considered it, the more I realized I needed to do this. Being a stay at home mom, sometimes it becomes very comfortable to do what I do every day. And anything outside of that is scary. As awesome as being a mom is, sometimes I never take the time to do anything for myself. I decided to do this for me. I knew that this was great opportunity to stretch myself.
The day came last Saturday, I was more excited than nervous. I had a great time sharing my story with others. I even won a gift bag!! It felt so good to get out of the house and have adult conversation. I was proud of myself. I overcame myself!
