For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
My fear of letting the kids get creative is improving. I was brave enough to let them paint today. They had so much fun. Bethany did well at rinsing her paintbrush and drying it before she dipped into another color. Joseph, not so much. His paper was more soppy and he did pour out a half a bottle of paint when I wasn't looking! He did great though. He and Bethany were fighting over whose picture Daddy was going to like better.
When I get an urge to tell them how they should do something, I just get my own piece of paper and do it for myself. They could care less how I make it or what I make honestly. My art is never worth keeping, theirs always looks perfect.
I am also learning how to LET them clean up their messes. They love to clean, but I always have to do it right. What a shame, they like cleaning and I won't let them!! Bethany wiped the table and Joseph dried it after they finished painting.
Bethany worked hard on her work pages today. She finally wrote a C the correct way, we were both so excited! I am having more fun than I thought, okay, alot more fun than I thought!
This next thing is amazing to me. I have been waiting for Bethany to help me bake something so that I could video and post this. We baked Pumpkin Muffins (Don't use the pumpkin muffin recipe on the Libby's canned pumpkin. It didn't work for us! I should have stuck with my original plan to bake pumpkin bread!) I showed her how to do this one time and this is her first attempted in a long time. You won't need to turn the music off.
