Mommy and Jophie's heart to heart over the toilet

After the Fancy Nancy paper doll fun and fixing Joseph's train track for the umpteenth time, I finally got a start on cleaning my bathrooms.
I have been noticing all my bathrooms have smelled alot dirtier lately. I had a suspicion that the cause had something to do with my sweet little boy. Although he potty trained himself in January, every mother's dream come true, he has graduated recently from the sit down to the stand up position. Along with his excitement about this, came my own disappointment.
It was obvious to me, as I was hugging the toilet to clean the floor, that Joseph and I were going to have a talk. I am not going to give up hope and accept that I will be wiping up stinky pee off the floor for the next 18 years.
I was cleaning another toilet when he woke up from his nap. I explained the situation to him the best I could. I told him the causes and effects that his poor attention was creating. I said, "Mommy does not like having to clean up your pee. You are making me potty's stink!! Do you understand?" He just looked at me like I am crazy! I asked him to tell me what I had just told him, a blank look and a vaguely mumbled answer were all I received.

We shall see. Some times things connect that I never imagine. He is very bright, but he is a boy. I'll let you know, hopefully I won't be blogging this when he's 12!!

Well, my husband is almost 30, and I still sometimes have to clean up after he pees. So, good luck with that!
