Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
It's been a great day for me. My sweet mother has had the kids all day and they are spending the night. WooHoo!! I was able to catch up on some of my paperwork around the house, run some errands and basically goof off browsing the clearance sections of most of my favorite stores. Joe and I went out to dinner, and then shopped some more.
I have to say though, the thing that excited me the most today wasn't the bargains I found or the satisfaction of getting caught up on my paperwork. It wasn't even the fact that I sat in a car by myself and ate McNuggets, in silence. No, it was sharing with my friend the news of her adoption being approved.
It's been a long wait and I am so excited for the little boy their family will bring home very soon. As I told her once before, what an awesome, tangible example to my children of what adoption means. I realized how thankful I am for their family, when I was able to show Bethany, their baby's picture and explain how he is becoming apart of their family.
Amber has worked really hard to make this adoption happen. Check out her business, it's awesome, and you'll help fund little Behailu coming home.
