Monday happenings

I am so excited about fall, it's my favorite {as Bethany would say, favorite, favorite, favorite} time of year. I've been happy about the weather being so dreary lately, because I'm hoping this means summer is gone FOREVER the year.
I was eager to attempt a new picture of all three of the munchkins together. My creative idea of sticking them outside on chairs was a flop I think, but I'm learning.

I am still trying to learn my camera, it's hit and miss, then a hit and I'm left wondering how that happened. When I took my camera off the auto setting, the pictures were blue, I later found out that I had left the WB {white balance} on custom. I didn't have time to figure out the problem then, so the rest are black and white.

Yes, Joseph really was trying to bite Jenna's head. Don't know why {nor do I understand it} but it was a gentle, brotherly bite. No pain or blood resulted.
After this, the day was really productive. I have had a terrible time sleeping lately, even worse than usual. Last night was no different, but I had more energy than recently. I {finally} walked on the treadmill, which wasn't easy but it has made me feel so much better about myself today.
Homeschooling is going so smoothly, now that we are in a routine I am looking forward to it. I thought I might dread Monday's and look forward to the weekends more than ever, but I don't. Bethany is learning and we are having fun.
Over the weekend, Bethany woke up saying her ear hurt. I realized she had yucky, junk coming out of her ear. Joe and I, doctored her the best we could at 10:30 on a Saturday night. I put Peroxide in it and gave her Motrin. She said it felt better after we read some books and told her she could sleep in the bed with us.
She hadn't been sick at all, hadn't complained and didn't have a fever. All day Sunday her ear continued to drain and I made her an appointment with the pediatrician today. Joe took her and to every one's disbelief, her eardrum had ruptured. Thankfully, but very oddly she wasn't in any pain. She has started an antibiotic and has a follow up appointment in 3-4 weeks to make sure it heals up.
I think Jenna might be teething. She has been angry all day. She fussed and cried until I said, "Jenna, what is wrong with you today?" Bethany heard me and said, "Mommy it probably those tooffers {my babytalk for teeth} again!" I realized she was probably right, Jenna does only have 7 teeth. What would I do without my 5 year old to help me realize whats wrong with my baby?!
Joseph found MIA, Curious George today. He'd been hiding in the basement in a toy bin. As soon as Joseph found him, he ran upstairs and put George on his bed. {Then continued to call upstairs saying, "George go to sweep!"} Later he agreed to let me wash him. I let him watch.
Enjoy the pictures, that's all for this Monday. My bed is calling, if I can't sleep maybe I'll turn on Monday night football!

That is so cute! The Hippie has a winky and she gets all upset because my dad always wants to wash it for her. She says, "Gampy washes off all my winky smell." =)

Cute pics. We are going to pick the pumpkins in our garden this weekend and hopefully I will get some good pics. Grace throws a huge fit when I wash any of her babies, pillow, blankets, anything. I have to sneak but when you carry 10 (not exaggerating) things from your bed everyday it's hard to sneak! Have a great week!

Those photos are great on the chairs. I think it was a good idea. I hope you get sleep. I haven't had much lately. My 7 month old is getting teeth or something - and wouldn't you know that mama is the only one who can comfort him :o)

I think the pics are great..try cropping the b & W white ones.

Yes, we often do not notice what is going on with our kids until after we have had a moment (mine is once I can think alone!)

Poor Bethany, hope that ear drum heals up.

Right now I am T-I-R-E-D!! I know it's hormonal..starting on my birth control pills always needs a week or so to work itself out.

I CANNOT imagine how it must be for you.

I am taking a bible study starting this week called Grace Based Parenting..have you read this book?

I like your chair photos! I find that when I try to photograph MY kids NONE of the photos turn out. I desperately want the picture to be perfect and my kids never seem to cooperate. Then I look at other photos of kids and see how great they are and try to figure out how they did it. Then I come to realize that those kids aren't "cooperating" either... but they look great. Just like mine!

Have a blessed (and peaceful) day!
