Christmas came early

7 days til Christmas for some people but not for me. Remember this project I started way back when, oh about June-ish? You probably don't remember but trust me it haunted me until about a month ago. My attempt to refinish it was a disaster, then an abandoned nightmare. Warm weather came and went, it just sat in our garage collecting leaves and dust.
My sweet father came to the rescue, as he always has when I get myself in over my head. {I think it started haunting him.} As if he didn't have better things to be doing than sanding down my buffet in the cold. He is the hardest workin' man I know and I have always confidently said, he can fix anything.
Isn't it beautiful?

His heart is as big as his gift to do anything. I will think of how much he loves me every time I admire it, which will be often. Thanks Daddy!I've been working on filling it up just perfectly, excited to pack our school books away, off the table into it. No school for 2 weeks! I'm so happy for Christmas break, for Joe and us.
This day had so much potential and I have so little to show for it. Jenna has been an ornery beast today, screaming at me. She is taking out her teething aggression on me. Don't worry I'm safe.
What you see here, is the only clean spot on my house. I think the walls are caving in. Our house is in need of a toy detox, and the toilets need scrubbing. So, off I go to at least cram some stuff under the couches and clothe the children.

Hi Miranda!!

The buffet is beautiful! Your dad did a GREAT job! I've got some furniture he can work on if he's bored! LOL!

Hope you're doing well!!

It's beautiful. I wish I had somewhere to put a buffet in my house. I keep telling myself that I can have a clean house when the kids move out! Hahaha! I'm running around wrapping presents, doing laundry, and cleaning. Thanks for reminding me to clean my toilets! Have a great day!
