My favorite Christmas present

Bethany and Joseph gave me their silhouettes as Christmas presents, with the help of Mamma. I ordered the frames from Kohl's.com clearance and couldn't wait for them to arrive so that I could hang them. I put some left over wrapping paper behind them and just can't say enough how much I love these Christmas gifts!
I have my silhouette from when I was 4 or 5 that my mom did of me. Maybe I'll make a wall of it when Jenna is old enough to give me one too.

Great idea! Did you enlarge a photo to outline their faces?

I love that! Very neat. I would like to do that at my house too. It doesn't seem very difficult, and it looks so cute. Just got to find the time.

What a neat Christmas present! My SIL has hand prints and I thought that was cool but this is better.

They do look great! Thanks to 2 of the greatest silhouette models I have ever worked with. (of my grandchildren, I mean) :)
They sat so still with a lamp behind them, while I traced their profile on a piece of white paper taped to the wall. Then I cut out their silhouette and traced in onto the black paper and cut it out.
I have read about it done with a profile picture enlarged also. Probably would be easier. But, this was their gift to their Mom and Dad and it needed their participation. It took great effort on their part to sit STILL while I traced it and they were so excited to be able to give this gift for Christmas to Mommy and Da Da.
