Bethany's in the kitchen

Yesterday morning, Bethany and I sat to get started on school. She let out a sigh and said, "I just had such a big breakfast this morning." Being that she has been fixing her own cereal every morning for the past couple weeks, I didn't know what she could have eaten. Her reply to my asking her what she'd had for breakfast was, "Well, I had little pop cereal, {rice crispies} with some honeycombs, and some cheerios. Then I added milk, with some marshmallows on top!!
And yesterday afternoon, as I was cleaning the basement blogging, I heard her upstairs clanging dishes around in the kitchen. Half out of laziness, and half out of curiosity I didn't go up to check on her. Then I started hearing her giving Jospeh commands like, "Get the milk out Bud." and "Looks like we need some more butter, why don't you stir this for me."
I called up and questioned what was going on and she said, "We can't tell you!!" Which means you better come right away if you know what's good for you. I went up to find her mixing a bowl of disgusting looking brown goop. She was whisking milk, butter, peanut butter, water and an egg, with marshmallows floating at the top. Needless to say, we threw it out and she got a lecture on the dangers of playing with raw eggs. She doesn't have any trouble cracking them. I love her enthusiasm and can't wait til she can actually be turned loose in the kitchen, which might be sooner that I think.
