We made it

It's midweek and my brain is only now starting to clear from the move last weekend. I started out packing everything perfectly categorized and fitted into boxes like puzzles, but by the end of last week I was cramming and stuffing anything and everything into the last few small boxes I had on hand. I am sick of all the stuff we own and honestly think we can live without most of it. Thankfully, for now it is all out of sight and out of mind.
My dad, father-in-law, brother-in-laws and nephews did an awesome job loading and carrying thousands of pounds, literally, Joe's weight collection alone is enough to run most people off from helping us move. My brother and sis-in-law watched our kiddos all day Saturday and my mom and sister had been helping me for weeks now. Without each of them I would have lost my little remaining sanity and left the new home owners with some pretty sweet freebies and an insane amount of dirt and trash. Family is a wonderful thing, we are so blessed and grateful to each and everyone of you who jumped right in, broke a sweat for us and ignored all the gave me a hard time about all the dust bunnies. {My brother-in-laws really are the best!} You stalkers know that I have never been one to claim keeping a spotless house!
We've settled in comfortably at my parents house, possibly too comfortably. They make it hard for us not to. We have overtaken their basement, refrigerator and privacy, I am sure it will be a happy day when we move out in a couple weeks.
We have a closing date for our new house, June 1. I am so excited and can hardly wait. Joe and I went shopping yesterday for some things we are going to need when we move in. It will be nice to make a home again. On the flip side, now that we are at a stand still and our belongings are shipped here there and everywhere, I can appreciate the break and chance to relax before I have to jump into all that again. We're catching up on our much needed reading.

I will be back soon, for some reason my internet isn't wanting me to upload pictures right now. I've wasted quite enough of my afternoon fiddling around with it. I think my husband will be more appreciative of me taking a shower rather than adding a few more pics.
Who could possibly complain about having amenities like these?

So glad the kids fit in one box. I hope they are at least being kept in an air-conditioned storage unit while waiting for the new house! xo, MB

Just for the record, Mamma (or Mammy as Jenna calls me) and Papaw are loving it.
