I've started nesting

It was a great weekend, fall has finally made it's appearance and I'm hoping it sticks around for as long as possible.  Fall is my favorite, there is nothing better than long sleeves, cool nights, damp air and radiant leaves.  Last year's fall was kinda a bust with me being in bed, with mono and a bottomed out thyroid, for 8 weeks, so I'm going to enjoy this one extra.
With the help of my dear mother and my strong hunk of a husband I got some major things scratched off my nesting to-do list.  It feels really great and I'm so thankful to have had their help because I couldn't have done any of it without them.  Especially Joe, have I told you lately how great he is to me?!  I can't imagine living this life without him, he makes having 4 children work.  I couldn't be nearly as successful at this motherhood thing without him.
First order of business for the weekend was packing out our old computer desk that was falling apart and packing in my new vintage desk.  I bought it at a yard sale for a whopping $10, which I thought was a steal until Joe had to move the 5 ton thing.  It's made like it was built to last or something.  Lots of metal and wooden drawers, real wood.
It's a bit rough around the edges but I like it's lovely blue color.
I had quite a lot of success with yard sells lately.  I've gotten some neat finds and found nice, cheap clothes for the kids this fall.  As always finding a bargain makes me happy.  I also find little odd things that I take a liking to as well, they really make me feel like a kid at Christmas.
I found the cart next to my desk for $2 {Which makes me feel like Curious George}, I also found this stool for 50 cents...
 Some orange Tupperware cups...
And possibly the most comical are these vegetable plates...
Who isn't questioning my sanity now?  I'll be back to share more of nesting accomplishments and more reasonable yard sale finds soon.  Seems like there aren't enough hours in the day to blog, but I'll make it happen sometime.  Thanks for stopping by to read about my foolish fancies, I appreciate all of you stalkers!
