"Are you Jesus?"

 "You go in da corner!"
"No! You go in da corner!!"
Jenna held two wise men, one in each hand.  She looked back and forth at each of them as they were arguing about who was goin' in da corner of the stable.
I couldn't help but crack up as she continued to sternly go back and forth between the two of them, undecided about which was in trouble.
Later, in the night she was playing with the play nativity again and she picked each figure up one by one, looked them in the eye and asked, "Are you Jesus?"
First a wise man, the answer was no, so she laid him down in the floor.  Then baby Jesus, she looked at the tiniest figure and asked, "Are you Jesus?" "No." Then Mary, then Joseph.  Over and over, she looked at the figures and asked, "Are you Jesus?"  "No."
I finally stopped her, and told Joe who was sitting next to her, "Tell her which one is Jesus!"  It occurred to me this is her first Christmas of trying to put all this together.  What fun to get to tell her about the first Christmas, I'm glad she reminded me that she is searching for Jesus!!

Joe and I picked out our tree at Wal-Mart earlier this week.  Putting up an artificial tree felt like I was committing a Christmas sin.  I know, it's really not that big of a deal, but it was so odd.  It definitely has advantages, like no mess, no maintenance, no going out in the cold. . .  At the same time, I miss the smell of a fresh tree, the adventure of Joe and I agreeing on which tree is the perfect height, the originality of hanging ornaments on uneven branches and covering holes with bigger ornaments.  It just wasn't the same.  All that to say, I'm so glad our tree is up, I really like it and it's such a relief to know I can come home from having a baby to a decorated house!
I worked on the tree and decorations over the past 2 and half days.  I still have some decorating projects to work on, if they happen they happen, if not I'm not worrying about them.  This was the first year the kids helped decorate the tree and it's probably the year I have the least patience with them helping with the tree.  I just really wanted to get it finished and all three of them were wanting to be apart of the event.  They were hanging everything within a 4 ft area.  Some of the ornaments ended up shattered on the floor.  It was chaos, complete chaos, that required a lot of deep breaths and reminding myself that they were having fun.  They were overjoyed to be decorating and excitedly unwrapping their ornaments.
I had my 37 week doctors appointment yesterday.  Everything is going well.  My blood pressure and weight were great as usual, Brady was ornery about letting us hear his heartbeat, as usual.  My doctor said she can't wait for him to come out so she can spank him, every time it's an ordeal and every time his heart is beating just fine.
My doctor is awesome, she kindly has scheduled me for induction on December 6th if I don't go before.  She doesn't schedule inductions on Monday's but is changing it up for me, because I didn't want to wait until the Wednesday.  I'm certainly going to do my best to have a baby before then though!  I was only dilated to 1 yesterday, but that really doesn't mean anything.  It could be 2 weeks, 2 days, or the 6th.
I'm finally to the point where this is all setting in and I can't believe I'm going to be having a baby in a little over 2 weeks or less.  Now it doesn't seem like forever away and I'm super excited!
Hope you have a great weekend, I'll let you know if anything out of the ordinary happens in our lives!
