Sunshine Happy

First off, have I mentioned lately that my third child is crazy?
Joe calls her "Jenna T. Bass" after the Andy Griffith Show character, Ernest T. Bass. On the show Barney says, "He's a NUT!" That is what we often say of Jenna, so Joe has started calling her that when she acts like Ernest T.. Jenna doesn't like the teasing and says, "NO! I not Jenna T., I juss Jenna!!"

Reading about nature is fine, but if a person walks in the woods and listens carefully, he can learn more than what is in books, for they speak with the voice of God.

We've managed to get in our second full week of school this year. Bethany had been reading about George Washington Carver. Such a great man to learn from. I don't have time to write about him, but Googling him is definitely worth your time.
Not only did it not snow this week, the weather was sunny and warm one day! It was gorgeous so after school we went out in the sunshine.  I left the house a mess, it was so hard for me.   We've been cooped up all winter and the first nice day we have I almost missed because my house was a wreck.  The house I've cleaned and picked up all winter.  The house that I tidy everyday over and over, and still tomorrow it will have to be done yet again.
My kids do have house chores and responsibility to clean their rooms and make their beds.  Just because they clean first thing in the morning doesn't mean they're rooms are going to be that way when lunch comes.
I wish this wasn't so hard for me, to take time out and leave things a giant mess.  The dishes waited for me to come back.  It all waited, and I'm so glad it waited because unlike it was predicted, the next two days have been colder and cloudy again.
We gave the kids tin lunch boxes for Valentine's Day and they couldn't wait for me to pack a lunch for them. It was a perfect day to eat on the deck. Their excitement over a packed lunch was precious. {I can't say that word, precious, without thinking of Chonda Pierce. If you don't have time to Google George Washington Carver maybe you can watch this. It will make you smile!}
Sunshine how we have missed you. It did us all good. The kids ran and jumped. I haven't seen them so happy in a long time. It was a different kind of happy, not Valentine candy happy, sunshine happy.

Our creator is the same and never changes despite the names given Him by people here and in all parts of the world. Even if we gave Him no name at all, He would still be there, within us,
waiting to give us good on this earth.

Jenna and Yemi haven't met yet they are two peas in a pod, which is funny because Bethany and Selah are, too! It is amazing the expressions and personality traits that these girls have in common!!

The sunshine sure was a blessing. Looking forward to more of it.

I am thrilled you are feeling well, and you are such a fun and creative mommy! Of four! Wow!

Enjoying your blog. I think Jenna and Emma have similar personalities also. Emma certainly makes her voice known around here. Hope your getting into a "normal-ness" having 4.
Love,
