Reason #1952 Why I love my husband...

Our week has been full of tornado warnings, storm sirens, severe thunderstorms, bunking down in our closet and even spending a night in my parents basement. Thankfully, we have been safe and all of our precautions and sleepless nights were nothing more than just that. {Sadly, the same can't be said for robin eggs scattered about our yard.}
All the rain has left our yard full of puddles and our ditches rushing with water. Joe thought it would be fun to take the kids out to play in the water. I agreed that it sounded fun and envisioned him and the kids tromping through the puddles and splashing up water.

Somehow, the boots came off and soppy pants turned into completely soppy children, covered in muddy water.  The whole thing turned into mud wrestling.  Though our yard is a bit torn up, no one was hurt!

If you should decide this looks like fun family time, do so at your own risk.  I kept having to remind Joe that he is quadruple their size.
Reason # 1952 Why I love my husband, because he is an amazing daddy!

Looks like tons of fun! I'm going to have to let my kids run around in the muddy yard soon - all this rain, will we have any later this summer when we need it most?

I am in love with these pictures.
There's a big smile on my face and tears in my eyes.
I need to remember to let us play in the rain more often....
