Knitting, sewing, nesting

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter, the weather here was beautiful and we had a great time celebrating the resurrection!  I've been busy every single day and have wanted to blog much and often but time just hasn't allowed.  This post could get lengthy, though I really should keep it short, I have a long list of stuff I have to do before bedtime tonight and an early morning waiting for me.  Joe is on spring break this week, we are happy to have him home and looking forward to some extra fun stuff later in the week.  I'm feeling the crunch of all the loose strings that need tied up sooner rather than later, though I should have about 3 weeks left, that isn't long.
Real quickly I'll share some of my recent nesting projects, well the fun ones anyway.  I made a crib sheet out of a vintage sheets that I had been saving for the perfect project.  I love this fabric, I have to admit that I cut it too quickly and made it a little smaller than perfect, but it works and I adore it's happy color.  We found a crib on Craigslist, since Brady isn't ready to transition to a big boy bed and I'm not ready to move him for a very long time.
I have finished up a couple of neutral knitted hats, and made 2 different sizes, hopefully one of them will fit.  Poor Jenna's head was so big when she was born that none of the hospital hats fit her, I don't want that to happen again.  These were so fun to make, the pattern is great, email me if you want it.

I also sewed some burp cloths, I made 2 for a  boy and 2 for a girl, plus 1 neutral.  They are all cheery and colorful so I'll enjoy using whichever ones.

I appliqued some shirts for the kids to wear to the hospital, all 5 of them.  That's alot of shirts!!  It has always been a fun treat for them to get a special shirt to wear to meet their new sibling.
I got this big shipment of diapers from Amazon last week!  It's crazy to think of 2 little ones in diapers again!
Jenna did some serious corner time one day last week and we all had to laugh at Brady going over and joining for the fun of it.  They are becoming bigger buddy's and it's sweet.
I had an ultrasound last week and Little Monkey is no longer breech!  I'm so excited about that.  For the most part the pregnancy is going well, my blood sugar has continued to be much better and regulated since starting the medicine.  I can't believe I'm so close to the end, I can't say it feels like this pregnancy has flown by, because it's doesn't feel that way.  I also can't say it's been easy because its hasn't, but for some reason I'm not as impatient and irritable about this baby coming like I have been at the end of all my other pregnancies.  I don't know why but I'm content to have another 3 weeks and that seems very do-able to me.  It's nice to be okay with waiting.
I must go, it feels like I always wrap up post with so much more to say and plan to get back so much faster than I will.  It's nice to catch up a little anyway!

I didn't even think about buying diapers from Amazon! I will need to look into that for sure :)

I love the color and pattern of the crib sheet. And I LOVE the hats. I sure wish I had learned to sew. Your kiddos are too precious sharing the corner together! 3 weeks! I bet you must be thrilled to be welcoming your new little one soon!

All your projects are cute! I need to learn to knit, I crochet and have for years. I am happy to hear that you are feeling pretty well and hope the last three weeks are good to you!

Katy, Yes, you have to check into Amazon for diapers. When you sign up for their Subscribe and Save you save even more. The S&S is a free program that you can cancel at anytime and will automatically set you up to receive shipments as you set it up. You can also change scheduled deliveries. I find it so much easier than loading diapers in my cart, then the van and then into my house. It saves me $ and they come right to my door!
