March 1

Psalm 89:1
I will sing of the LORD's great love forever; with my mouth I will make your faithfulness known through all generation
s.

I am excited today and just really, really happy in my heart. There is so much going on around our house and in our lives that has encouraged me and uplifted me. The ground was covered in snow this morning when I woke up and it was perfect beginning to this day.
As I've said before, it's been a long winter for me, but the great thing about winter is it doesn't last forever! There has been a winter in my heart. Sometimes we struggle and we pray and we know that God is faithful, we trust Him fully, but it is still winter and we just have to wait for things to change when it's time.
Despite what we see, we cling to what we know to be true of God. He always comes through and today I just want to tell you some of the ways that God has come through for me and my family. {Plus, I'm adding in somethings that just make me smile today.}
1. Bright, fresh flowers on the piano.
 2. I made the kids peanut butter oatmeal this morning, it made them happy.

3. A new coffee mug.
4. I gave up Diet Coke. Lately with feeling so tired and worn down I had started drinking it more and more. I have felt for sometime that it really makes me feel worse and I know it isn't good me on so many levels. I had been thinking about giving it up for awhile but I really hesitated because I "loved" it and I had become dependent on it. After reading my friend's blog post, who deals with things on a different level than I, but I identify with her enormously, I knew I needed to take the step and give it up. I am sure that I have weak adrenals and I know that Diet Coke is terrible on them.
It has been so much easier than I thought it would be, I am drinking so much more water. If I have water with me wherever I go, especially running errands, and keep my thirst down it is easier to avoid Diet Coke.

5. Burt's Bees Almond Milk Hand Cream smells so good! It reminds me of my mom's facial scrub when I was a little girl. I have been using it on my cracked elbows. I have never had them before and just want them to get better and go away forever.

6. Anne is getting better at feeding herself. We started Cheerios and slices of bananas this week. She has almost quit baby food on me, since her last sickness she just wouldn't eat the stuff. Every now and then I can get her to eat a container, but she went from eating baby food 3 times a day to none and now maybe 1 time. I finally realized maybe we just need to move on to table foods. Table foods are easier when babies can feed themselves and are ready, however Anne is a slow, laid back developer and isn't aggressively moving from one phase to the next. It is obvious she is healthy and fine but compared to the rapid rate Brady went through babyhood, she is so much slower, which I love about her. In the past few days she has gotten much better about getting the food to her mouth herself.

7. God has shown Himself so faithful to us this year! I have been keeping a list of all the things God has done for us and it's pretty long. Most of the things are ways that God has financially provided for our needs over the past 2 months, it has been unbelievable!
Joe sold a bunch of weight equipment, that was given to him, on Craigslist, pieces he didn't think anyone would buy, sold, people he gave a price to said that wasn't enough and paid him more than he asked.
I had to make a phone call to our mortgage company about a question regarding a tax form, at the end of the conversation the lady asked if I'd be interesting it talking with someone about refinancing. I almost said no, I didn't really have time and didn't figure it would be worth the time. I found out it would be well worth refinancing our house, even with closing cost it would save us money each month.
A friend told us to check with a local bank about financing without closing cost, this week we met with the bank and started the process saving more money than we thought we would.
I went from having very little photography income to being busier than I have ever been.
Joe has started an after-school fitness club a couple times a week. He is making extra income without having to go to a second location, paying extra for gas and putting more time in to and from a second job.
We are so grateful and amazed once again at the ways that God supplies for our needs. He is so faithful! I was reminded of what I typed less than 2 months ago in January
I am looking forward to 2013, eager to see what God is going to do in our family. We trust Him despite what we see. We know that He is faithful to meet our needs. We know that His plan for us is perfect and we believe that He is enough. God is good, His love endures forever. May our hearts burn within us, may our love for Him increase.
I share all this to testify that God provides for us and to thank Him for all that He does for His children. He can be trusted time and time again.

Happy Friday friends! Thanks for reading!

I share in your thankfulness to the Lord for His provisions! Lately I've been constantly reminded that God is so much bigger than our worries or problems, and He will provide always, as long as we are faithful to Him.
And I LOVE your mug - did you design it yourself? I'd love to make myself one of those - that is just awesome!
